Hi. I’m Rich Gluck, Founder and Chief Investment Strategist for Paceline Advisors, an affiliate of MGO One Seven, an independent Registered Investment Adviser (RIA) based in Beachwood, OH.

I have some financial markets experience:

  • Chief Fixed Income Strategist for a major international private bank. I was one of five voting members of the investment committee. We set the strategic asset allocation and tactical deviations from that allocation.
  • Portfolio Manager of global and corporate bond funds for twenty three years. I have invested around the world in the bonds and currencies of both developed and emerging markets. I have also managed funds that invested in both investment grade and high yield bonds.
  • Trader:  I was a corporate bond market maker and a proprietary trader. I also did some stock index arbitrage back in the day.
  • Researcher: I began my career at the Federal Reserve Bank of NY in the International Research Department. Volcker was Chairman. It was an interesting time.

Managing assets globally made me develop expertise beyond my core mandates. I learned to focus on other asset classes like equity and commodities, because they affect and are, in turn, affected by the asset classes in which I actively invested. As they say, I’ve seen a thing or two.

My blog, which should definitely not be construed as investment advice, is a way for me to clarify my thinking about investment related themes and personal finance issues that strike me as interesting. You are welcome to go along for the ride. If you would like to talk with me about anything I’ve written, I can be reached at rich at weareoneseven.com
